Similarly, when the question switches up the basics of grouping, paints all sorts of different scenarios and throws in big values… bear in mind that it is linked to the same math concept of grouping.

Finding the total number of lemons Narelle bought is simple👌🏻. But it can get a little tricky for your child when it comes to regrouping/repacking.


Hence, identifying the 'number of (new) groups' and knowing that 'total' remains the same throughout are the keys to helping him/her staying on track.
